That's only US $0.055 per SMS credit. There is no price sliding scale for bulk SMS purchases. Why should you be penalized if you need to send out a few messages and only get a price saving if you send out thousands of messages? SMS's sold in units of 500.
BEWARE: Other providers can confuse you by requesting you buy "credits" at what appears to be a cheap rate. However, by charging you as much as 2 or 3 credits to send a message in Zambia, an actual message costs you twice or three times as much as you may have first thought.
